Thailand receives official invitation letter from BRICS partner countries!
On December 24th, Mr. Girayu, spokesperson for the Office of the Prime Minister of Thailand, revealed that the 16th BRICS Leaders' Meeting was held at the Kazan Convention and Exhibition Center in Russia, and a resolution was officially passed approving a total of 13 countries, including Thailand, as partners of the BRICS countries.

The spokesperson stated that during the cabinet meeting that day, the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed that Thailand has officially received a notification letter to become a BRICS Partner Country.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that becoming a partner country of the BRICS group would greatly benefit Thailand, such as helping to further formally become a member and strengthen exchanges with BRICS countries, especially in trade, investment, finance, food and energy security, as well as enhancing Thailand's role in promoting international cooperation and strengthening the multilateral system.
At the same time, after officially becoming a partner country of BRICS, Thailand must take relevant measures, such as preparing relevant departments and institutions for being invited to join BRICS, and sending ministerial level representatives to attend meetings every year.
In addition, Thailand may also consider supporting the outcome documents of the BRICS Leaders' Meeting and Foreign Ministers' Meeting to ensure active participation and role. (via Thailand website)
